Decatur Computer Help was awarded a top service award from from a group of homeowners who share data on all contractors on Angie's List every year from 2006-2009. Fewer than 5% of contractors are selected for the honor. A magazine published for this group rated Decatur Computer Help as one of the three top contractors in any field in the Atlanta area.

Alan has served on the board of the Dekalb
Enterprise Business Corporation, on the technology committee of the Decatur
City Schools, and volunteered with the Technology Association of Georgia. He developed and taught a beginning computing class for the City of Decatur for some residents of the Decatur Housing Authority. He also built and maintains and award winning computer lab for the Housing Authority.
